DR. SHAWN MARIE PETERS is a Naturopathic Physician, graduating from the accredited National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Her rigorous training involved all conventional medical classes, as well as extensive training in botanicals, nutrition, physical medicine and minor surgery. She has been in private practice for over seventeen years as a Primary Care Physician (PCP), and has special interests in women’s health, dermatology, and preventative medicine. Her role as a PCP involves diagnosis utilizing imaging and laboratory modalities, as well as specialist referrals when clinically appropriate. Her treatments may include diet and lifestyle modification, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and physical medicine…truly an integrative approach to healthcare!
For six years, Dr. Peters served on the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians as a board director; with roles of secretary, director at large, and continuing education chair. She accepts most health insurance plans as an in-network provider and offers a time of service discount for those without insurance. If she is not in clinic, Dr. Peters is probably at a soccer field or hanging out with her two amazing sons, Elijah and Jamin, and their dog, Kaia.
Dr. Anjli Shah is an independent physician located within Pearl Integrative Medicine. She graduated with her Naturopathic Doctorate from Bastyr University and has completed a residency in family medicine at Fern Valley Natural Health in Washington State. During her residency, she focused on integrative pediatrics, including newborn and lactation management, as well as a focus in providing adjunctive support for Type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension. Dr. Shah uses various treatments which may include nutrition, lifestyle, botanicals, and pharmaceuticals if needed. She was drawn towards Naturopathic Medicine when she saw the power of this medicine through her own father’s health. It was in these moments, where she realized how impactful this medicine can be for an individual. Dr. Shah strongly believes her role as a provider is to educate, teach and to empower patients and families in the decisions they make to both reach and maintain their optimal well-being. She is excited to provide individualized care for her patients. Her areas of interest include newborn care, pediatrics, pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Dr. Shah is a member of Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Dr. Shah has recently moved to Hillsboro, Oregon so when she is not in the clinic, she is busy exploring Oregon with her husband.

Dr. Ellen Heinitz graduated with honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Oregon State University. She has been in practice for 20 years. Dr. Heinitz uses a variety of traditional and conventional healing modalities including nutritional, herbal, homeopathic, and compounded hormones and pharmaceutical medications to treat both acute and chronic conditions.
As a Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Heinitz is trained to diagnose individuals using a complete history, physical exam, labs and diagnostic imaging. Having a special interest in functional medicine, Dr. Heinitz, seeks to achieve optimal health for her patients, not just the absence of disease. Just a few of the conditions she has particular success in treating include digestive and liver disorders, premenstrual syndrome and menopause, adrenal and thyroid imbalances, and female and male infertility.
Reaching out to the medically underserved is Dr. Heinitz’s passion and she has recently lived in the rural Western Highlands of Guatemala for two years providing access to healthcare for those who needed it most. She seeks to educate her patients and the public in order to bring about a personal transformation to health.
