She has been in private practice for over seventeen years as a Primary Care Physician (PCP), and has special interests in women’s health, dermatology, and preventative medicine. Her role as a PCP involves diagnosis utilizing imaging and laboratory modalities, as well as specialist referrals when clinically appropriate. Her treatments may include diet and lifestyle modification, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and physical medicine…truly an integrative approach to healthcare!
For six years, Dr. Peters served on the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians as a board director; with roles of secretary, director at large, and continuing education chair. She accepts most health insurance plans as an in-network provider and offers a time of service discount for those without insurance. If she is not in clinic, Dr. Peters is probably at a soccer field or hanging out with her two amazing sons and doggos!
Dr. Ellen Heinitz graduated with honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Oregon State University. She has been in practice for 20 years. Dr. Heinitz uses a variety of traditional and conventional healing modalities including nutritional, herbal, homeopathic, and compounded hormones and pharmaceutical medications to treat both acute and chronic conditions.
As a Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Heinitz is trained to diagnose individuals using a complete history, physical exam, labs and diagnostic imaging. Having a special interest in functional medicine, Dr. Heinitz, seeks to achieve optimal health for her patients, not just the absence of disease. Just a few of the conditions she has particular success in treating include digestive and liver disorders, premenstrual syndrome and menopause, adrenal and thyroid imbalances, and female and male infertility.
Reaching out to the medically underserved is Dr. Heinitz’s passion and she has recently lived in the rural Western Highlands of Guatemala for two years providing access to healthcare for those who needed it most. She seeks to educate her patients and the public in order to bring about a personal transformation to health. She joins the team at Pearl Integrative Medicine as an Independent Provider (DBA Ellen LD Heinitz, ND, LLC). WELCOME!!!
